I love how they show the sentimental part of him: that he treasures the time he gets to spend with his parents because as he said it, it’s (probably) the last chance for him.

Here’s a short explanation on what the brother is doing. He’s being given an immortal bone by the patriarch of Qin Clan who is in the upper realm. This was the latter’s experiment to foster a supreme being in the clan and Qin Hao is the guinea pig.

Shi Hao on the other hand, is far more far-sighted. He carves the runes of his supreme bone onto his bone to make it a part of him even IF he loses the supreme bone one day. SH never wants to be dependant on the bone while his little jerk of a brother already believes he’s invincible due to the newly planted immortal bone which he did not deserve.What is even more undeserving is when SH gives him his supreme bone before he dies, there’s not a word of “thanks”, instead the little tosser has the audacity to tell his brother “I will be the most powerful person..” when SH asks him to take good care of their parents. One does not need to become the most powerful person in order to take care of one’s parents. But as much as I hate him and his cocky attitude, I really hope the donghua doesn’t whitewash him and portray the scene as it is. They should let the fans see the contrast between him and SH.

The thing with Shi Hao is, he always goes beyond the limit of each level. As an example, cultivating 10 heavenly paths is already the extreme and one can already move on to the next higher level even without reaching the perfect 10. But our boy here not only cultivates all 10 HP, he also joins them together to form a big disk. This is a reason why his 10 HP can actually deflect or absorb his opponent's attack. In short, he can "usually" defeat opponents who are one level higher than him. Two is a bit of a stretch but just wait and see, I shan't spoil anything for you.
